On October 18, Ezhou Kebei Laser Co., Ltd. held a factory open day and new-product launch at its R&D center, unveiling a high-power universal laser cutter for the structural steel fabrication industry. Kebei Laser is a provincial-level “little giant” specialized SME. In April this year, working with CRRC Hunan, it delivered China’s first automated fish-belly beam blanking line in just 50 days: dual laser heads cut in sync for more than double the efficiency of conventional equipment, processing 12-metre profiles fully automatically with ±0.1 mm/m positioning accuracy and a cut face that needs no secondary grinding, resolving a bottleneck in heavy rail-transit components.科贝激光是省级专精特新「小巨人」企业。今年 4 月，公司与湖南中车合作，仅用 50 天交付全国首条鱼腹梁型钢落料自动生产线：该产线采用双激光头同步切割技术，加工效率较传统设备提升超 1 倍，可一次性完成 12 米长型材的全自动加工，定位精度达 ±0.1mm/m，加工断面无需二次打磨，解决了轨道交通重型构件的加工瓶颈。
Building on continuous R&D, the company now fields a matrix spanning H-beam laser cutters, laser hybrid welding robots, four-chuck tube cutters and large-format floor-rail laser cutting systems, used in steel structures, rail transit, construction machinery and shipbuilding, and exported to Europe, the US and the Middle East. Its Phase II smart manufacturing base covers 43.5 mu and is running at full capacity, with monthly output ramping from 20 to 50 units and more than 35 new orders a month; year-to-date exports reached 15 units and over RMB 20 million in sales, with production booked through year-end.依托持续研发，公司已形成以 H 型钢激光切割机、激光复合焊接机器人、四卡切管机、大幅面地轨式激光切割设备为代表的产品矩阵，广泛应用于钢结构、轨道交通、工程机械、船舶制造等领域，并远销欧洲、美国、中东。公司二期智能制造基地占地 43.5 亩，现已满负荷生产，月产能正由 20 台向 50 台冲刺，月均新接订单超 35 台；今年以来累计出口设备 15 台，销售额超 2000 万元，排产计划已至年底。
Industry read: a “one machine, many jobs” universal unit means fewer machine changes and re-fixturings for high-mix, low-volume profile and sheet metal work, lowering the cost of adapting to new drawings and new sections during prototyping.
