01 / DFM REVIEW

Review the cabinet before fabrication.

Translate cabinet drawings into an agreed plan for formed panels, access doors and equipment interfaces.

01 / Receive & Align

Check 2D and 3D revisions, assembly references, quantities and acceptance requirements. Resolve missing inputs and identify critical features.

02 / Assess Requirements & Define Actions

Review areaDFM assessmentReview output
Material / Zinc alloyConfirm alloy grade, stock form and thickness; assess process suitability for each cabinet component.Material confirmation and proposed process route.
Cutting & formingWhere applicable, review nesting, cutouts, edge quality, bend radii, flange lengths and tooling access.Geometry actions and manufacturing sequence.
Assembly interfacesReview door gaps, hinges, mounting holes, cable entries, louvers and fastener access.Assembly datums and interface checks.
Finish / Baked paintAgree pretreatment, color, film thickness, curing, masking and corrosion-protection criteria.Finish specification and coating acceptance plan.
Tolerance / ±0.3 mmConfirm controlled dimensions, datums, stack-up, coating allowance and inspection stage.Critical-dimension list and inspection method.
Sample & releaseCheck cabinet fit, panel appearance and coating; close DFM actions with the customer before production.Approved drawings and sample sign-off.

03 / Feedback, Customer Confirmation & Release

Return marked-up drawings, proposed changes and an action log. Resolve open items with the customer, confirm the drawing revision and inspection plan, then release the agreed package for sampling.

Review basis: Zinc alloy, baked paint for corrosion protection and ±0.3 mm are customer-specified requirements. Alloy grade, process suitability and acceptance details remain subject to drawing review. DFM topics describe the review process, not completed project findings.

02 / MANUFACTURING DISCUSSION

Production online for reference.

Panel flatness, opening positions, edge quality, graphic alignment and protection during handling are useful topics for a drawing and sample review.

Access doors

Tall hinged doors open to expose the cabinet interior.

Mounting features

Brackets, formed sections and repeated holes are visible inside.

Ventilation openings

Louvered panels and circular openings form part of the enclosure layout.

Assembly interfaces

Door hardware, frame edges and base structures connect the enclosure components.

03 / FIELD INSTALLATION

Storage cabinets in a working energy site.

Outdoor PowerStack installation with front access to equipment.

Solar plus storage

Sungrow reports four PowerStack units at this farm, integrated with its existing solar installation. The photographs show both the cabinet installation and the wider site.

Bending operation

The photograph shows industrial laser cutting in progress. For the specified zinc alloy, confirm grade, stock form and process suitability during DFM before selecting a cutting route.

01 / Review the input

Confirm material grade, thickness and approved drawing revision.

02 / Assess the cut

Review contour access, edge quality and inspection of critical features.

03 / Verify the finish

Check agreed dimensions and baked-paint protection before delivery.
